Just another campfire song was written for my dear friend Mikkel Schou of K!ART ensemble. We started talking about it somewhere during Covid lockdown (or maybe somewhat before?) and I ended up throwing away sketch after sketch.
Eventually, I started writing more and more at the guitar, and came upon an expression influenced by microtonality, blues and more – ending up in a sort of stylized “noodling”.
In the end, I think the work deals with this sort of intersection between contemporary music, microtonality, blues licks, and the guitar as a singer-songwriter instrument.
for amplified classical guitar (also works on archtop electric or even electric in a pinch)
